File Button

Click the File button to save traces to disk or load traces from disk. Each trace is saved by its name, so when you are entering trace parameters, be sure you give each trace a unique and descriptive name. Traces are stored within a file we refer to as the trace data file. The default trace data file is called TRACEDB.DAT, but you can change the name as well as the drive and directory of this file (see Trace file's path\name). There's no specific limit on how many traces can be saved to a single trace data file, but when more than 500 traces are in a single file, displaying the file's directory can take a lot longer. You can also delete traces from the trace data file. See delete traces.
