When you want to exit (close) the program click Trace on the main menu and then click Exit. You can also open the system menu and click Close or click the X button in the upper right of the main window (frame) to close the program.
Whenever the program is closed the following actions occur. All data in the trace windows (even closed ones) as well as the settings in all the displays are saved to disk. The program also saves the size and position of all open windows including the main window. When the program is started again, this information is loaded back into the program from disk. If the Auto restore desktop option is checked the windows are opened automatically. If the Auto restore desktop option is not checked the windows won't open automatically, but when you open them, they open in the size and position they had when the program was last closed.
